VMware vExpert 2012

vexpert_logoI am again pleased to annouce my renewed induction into the exclusive group that is the vExperts! Many thanks to John Troyer & Alex Maier and all of the VMware staff that helped determine the inductees for 2012.

Now that I am working at a vendor, NetApp, it is all the more difficult to make it into this exclusive group of experts. It just means I need to continue to elevate my game to continue helping those in the field and spread the word about VMware and its growing catalog of offerings.

I am also pleased to annouce that my teammates, Chris Gebhardt and Nick Howell made the list again this year along with me. I can assure you that the three of us, and the rest of our team have very exciting plans in store for VMworld this year. Stay tuned here for more as we slowly reveal our plans!

It has been a transitional year for me thus far, especially with an overseas move for myself and my family as well as the ins and outs of starting a new role with a new company. I am enjoying the transition so far, but still look forward to normalcy as I find my place here.

Thanks as always to my readers, colleagues and friends for you encouragement and guidance!

I am so pleased to annouce my induction into the exclusive group that is the vExpert community! Many thanks to John Troyer and all of the VMware staff that helped determine the inductees for 2011.

The past year has had its ups and downs for me personally…

On the plus side, I attended my first VMworld conference last year and met lots of people and got lots of ideas for how to contribute in a hopefully unique and useful way. I blog in both English and Japanese to help grow the community over here as well developing the fledgling Japan VMware User Group.

On a low note, my company and I lived through one of the largest earthquakes in recorded history, with a little help from VMware SRM from the IT side. We are still dealing with the side effects day by day.

I also had a great opportunity and experience attending 2 GestaltIT Tech Field Day events, in San Jose and in Boston.

Wow! It has really been a busy and amazing year and it went by quick. I am only getting started and excited to see what’s in store both for me, my blog, my community involvement and VMware as a company. We IT professionals are truly living in exciting and rewarding times!
